Provision of security services
In 2005 our regulatory body, the Security Industry Authority (SIA), made the provision of security services licensable and legal. In order to work legally as a Personal Protection Officer within the UK, a valid licence in level 3 in Close Protection by the SIA is a mandatory require.
By Law, services such as safeguarding of A list celebrities, asset protection and residential security must be undertaken by qualified and licensed security professionals holding a Level 3 qualification in Close Protection.
